Words cannot express how pleased we are with how it turned out. Recording it live with minimal overdubs was such a rewarding process & we can’t wait for you to hear it! We’re re-emerging into the fall Seattle moonlight from our 2012 writing/recording hiatus with this fantastic line-up (Noah Gundersen, Hannalee, Naomi Wachira & more) at St. Mark’s on Capitol Hill in Seattle this Saturday. As of yesterday afternoon they released 100 tickets, so if you can, pick up your tickets now!  And hurry! They already sold out of the original 700+ general admission tickets! Feb 4th – Space Works Show with OK Sweetheart

Goldfinch has been the recipient of a grant from the City of Tacoma for some rehearsal space! You guys, it’s perfect for us! Thank you Tacoma & Space Works!  (Here’s an article with more information.) We hope to share the space with a few other bands in “house show” settings and expose our new songs to eager ears before we jump into the recording studio. This Saturday, Feb 4th is the first opportunity for that! OK Sweetheart will join us as well as a live painter and some other special guests. (Here’s the Facebook event for more info.) Goldfinch is the featured artist on NWCZ Radio’s show, The Aquarium this week! Aaron and Emily’s interview and song set can be heard on Tuesday December 6th at 7pm or via podcast anytime after that! Goldfinch Family, Goldfinch has recently lost and added some very precious components as a band. Choosing to move forward with the Goldfinch project was a difficult decision, one that I second-guessed at several turns. However, I have been amazed and energized by all the changes, both small and large. The refashioning of the Goldfinch lineup, has somehow managed to push the musical and artistic ceiling for Goldfinch far beyond what I ever expected.
